Accumulate 2 Minutes of hold time in as few sets as possible (AFSAP).

  • Some key movements on the strength WoD today. Ones that your body will love you for!!
  • By that we mean that these moves are great for helping build some strength in the not-so-obvious areas that in turn can help shore up, or "bulletproof" your body. The Bent over Row is amazing for helping develop our pulling muscles. By doing something simple like turning your palms forward it becomes a game-changer because we now can bias the middle back muscles which just aren't as well developed as the upper back muscles, and no one wants to be all jacked up top and loosey-goosey below. That alone is reason enough to do these.
  • The Turkish Get Up is also a fantastic move that builds rock solid bodies. Yes it can help build up great stability in your shoulder joint but it also is a bona fide way to build some serious strength pretty much all over your body. If you don't do these at all get on the train and see just how humbling it can be when you can deadlift the world but struggle to do 3 reps with "just" 20kg in your hand.
  • Lastly the ever so lovely L-sit is a perfect way to round out the session. We did this not two weeks ago  and we hope you took notes then cos we are doing it again! As like last time we will have 5 minutes on the clock to accumulate our 2 minutes of hold time. Look back at your notes from last time and see where we can make some progress.
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Scale as needed.
