 WoD - "No Retreat, No Surrender"

Complete As Many Rounds As Possible in 15 Minutes

of:

20 Push Ups

50 Air Squats

  • Simple movements, foundational even. Look beneath the surface and you have a chance at developing your leg stamina & muscular endurance. Look to hit a consistent pacing throughout and see what sets you can hold out on. Is it unbroken sets of push ups or do you need to intentionally do two sets of 10?
  • On your squats, your legs are big robust units that can withstand a lot of heat. See if you can hold out on large sets today. 50 all the way each round anyone? Yes it will burn but that's not always a reason to stop. In fact, embrace the burn, chase it and develop some serious stamina in them and watch just well you perform in WoD that contains say 15 reps each round (sound familiar anyone?).
  • In anywise set yourself a game plan. To improve your muscular endurance you are going to have to work on building larger sets. Manage your rest throughout the workout too. Don't get caught doing nothing for a whole minute!
  • Don't get fooled by the simplicity. Its that very simplicity that will actually kick our butts and remind us that simple ALWAYS wins!!
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Modify as needed.
