 WoD: Deathly Hallows

5 Rounds, A New Round Starting Every 3 Minutes:

30 Double Unders

30 Push Ups

3 Deadlifts

.

M & W: Deadlift, 80% of your 1-Rep Max

.

  • Some Fast & Heavy movements today. We want to push the pace in the first two moves to give you some breathing room on that barbell. 80% is heavy, especially when you're breathing heavy!
  • Consider this a day to get some heavy loading done inside of your "MetCon". We'd like you to actually get the 80% on the bar and move the load. The caveat being of course that you move well despite being fatigued.
  • You will have to earn that right though by hammering out 30 Doubles & 30 Push Ups. It's likely that those pesky Push Ups will soon become the bain of your WoD!! Stay very very tight in tier body and do not give in to sloppiness just so you can go pick up a barbell! We said you have to earn the right to lift yes? Thats right, we aren't giving you a whole lot of rest once the deadlifts are complete but you could easily bee cutting it too fine if you labour over the push ups. Be efficient on them, scale the number to 20 if you need it but hustle your way to the barbell so you can get that valuable lifting in.
  • This one is sneaky. It will get you fit for sure, but it is one that will punch you when you aren't looking so watch out!!
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Scale as needed.
  • Stay Humble. Work Hard. Be Happy.
