Blog Post: Sunday Flicks, 2011, 12 & 13 Games Vids

Sunday Flicks

(Apologies on late posting of this post. Issues with WordPress server throughout Sunday! again)

2011 "Dog Sled" 2012 "Double Banger" & 2013 "Burden Run" WoDs

With the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games starting in a matter of days we continue our look back at Games gone past. If you haven't seen last weeks post check it out here.

This week the years are 2011, 2012 & 2013. Yup we are throwing in 3 years to bring us up closer to current day (Thursday night we will post 2014 & last year, 2015).

These are great to watch back on as it gives us affirmation of how far the standards have come in this time. Take the Dog Sled in 2011 for example. Some folk had been doing sled training for a while as per some sport specific stuff but Rogue Fitness unveiled a brand new design that could be pushed & ultimately pulled at super heavy loads. Combine that with all the other moves in that final event and it made for great viewing as these athletes adapted to the situation at hand.

You see adapting to the conditions and tasks being put in front of you is a big factor in trying to prove yourself as the Fittest in the field of play. All three videos show the athletes having to learn on the fly and put all that hard earned Fitness to the test and figure things out.

The result? Some amazing bouts of Fitness on show and Fitness being shown in completely different lights. Enjoy the show!

Later this week? ... we take a look at the 2014 & 2015 Games.

Men's Dog Sled - 2011

Women's Double Banger - 2012

Burden Run - 2013
